During the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner, President Joe Biden made humorous remarks about his predecessor and joked about his own age.

Meanwhile, a significant gathering of pro-Palestinian demonstrators outside the event highlighted the challenges his administration is confronting amidst scrutiny over his approach to the conflict in Gaza. “Of course, the 2024 election’s in full swing and, yes, age is an issue: I’m a grown man running against a 6-year-old,” Biden said, referring to former President Donald Trump, whom he called “Sleepy Don.”

Addressing an audience comprising close to 3,000 journalists, celebrities, and politicians, Biden further stated “Age is the only thing we have in common. My vice president actually endorses me.” Continuing his address, the president highlighted the differences between his ongoing reelection campaign, which has gained momentum following his State of the Union speech last month, and that of Trump.
