The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is under increased scrutiny for allowing undocumented immigrants to travel by air within the U.S. without proper identification, as Congress works towards passing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization before the May 10 deadline.

Although the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act, which includes the renewal of the FAA, has strong backing, several amendments are being proposed for inclusion.

Two Republican senators, Senators Mike Lee of Utah and Rick Scott of Florida, are specifically focusing on addressing the lenient TSA regulations for undocumented immigrants who enter the country and then travel domestically.
